About the Role

Delta Institute is seeking a Student Experience Coordinator to join our Learner Empowerment Team. This is a pivotal role that supports prospective students, current learners, and graduate members throughout their journey with the Institute.

From converting enquiries into enrolments, to providing outstanding student support and coordinating learning activities, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional student experience.

As the first point of contact for the Delta Institute, you'll help ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to service excellence. You'll support learners from their initial enquiry through to graduation and membership.

This part-time, work-from-home role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to an organisation dedicated to education, animal behaviour, and positive reinforcement training practices.

Key Responsibilities

Student & Customer Experience

  • Serve as the first point of contact via phone, email, and social media.
  • Respond to enquiries with professionalism, empathy and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Institute courses and graduate membership programs.
  • Provide accurate information in accordance with RTO compliance requirements.
  • Escalate feedback, complaints and appeals appropriately.

Enrolments & Admissions

  • Guide prospective students through the enrolment process.
  • Convert enquiries into enrolments through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Process applications, invoices, and payment plans.
  • Set up and manage course intakes within the student management system.
  • Support pre-training reviews and student onboarding.
  • Convert graduates into Institute members.

Student Support & Progression

  • Assist students with queries and issues throughout their learning journey.
  • Conduct student surveys.
  • Process student deferrals and withdrawals.
  • Help students stay engaged and successful in their studies.

Course Coordination

  • Support the planning and coordination of online and face-to-face learning activities.
  • Assist with orientations, information sessions, workshops, and virtual classrooms.
  • Provide technical support to students, educators, and staff.
  • Assist with payment platform administration and troubleshooting.

Team & Organisational Support

  • Maintain accurate student records.
  • Contribute to marketing and communication activities as required.
  • Support the rollout of new programs and services.
  • Assist with reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, customer-focused, and motivated by helping people succeed. You’re confident excelling in a fast-paced environment, and actively contributing to a small but mighty, performance focused team.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in an RTO in a student support, student services or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of aXcelerate or a similar Student Management/Learning Management System.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence learning and troubleshooting technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency across Microsoft 365 and other digital platforms.
  • A growth mindset, initiative and sound judgement.
  • A genuine passion for Delta's purpose, animal welfare and positive reinforcement animal training methods.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a not-for-profit organisation.
