About us

Sign for Work has over 20 years’ experience supporting Deaf and hard of hearing people to gain and maintain employment. We deliver the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist Contract, with a strong focus on long-term employment outcomes and economic inclusion.

We're now seeking a dedicated Employment Coach to join our team. This role is based in our Salisbury office, with some travel to other sites in neighbouring areas.

What you'll do

  • Support participants to achieve and maintain employment
  • Provide job search help, resumes, applications, and interview coaching
  • Build relationships with employers, community organisations, and referral partners
  • Assist with workplace readiness, communication needs, and adjustments
  • Meet targets and maintain accurate case notes

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of two years of experience as an EC in a DES or IEA provider
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in, or a desire to learn Auslan (Australian Sign Language)
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly

What you'll need

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
  • Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia
  • National Police Check (and International if lived overseas in the last 10 years)
  • Two referees
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable car
