Cape York Partnership is a non-profit Indigenous organisation empowering the people of Cape York. Our partnership consists of 10+ entities and initiatives working on areas of policy, empowerment, education, employment, health, language and culture. We co-design all our initiatives with the people of Cape York so they can lead the changes they need for their communities to prosper.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Communications team, providing community management of more than 10 social media accounts across a variety of social media platforms. Working directly with various groups and teams, you will share stories that support our agenda and communicate the success of our work to a highly engaged audience totalling more than 100,000 people.

You will oversee the delivery of social content, including coordinating, scheduling, posting, paid promotional and reporting. You will also be responsible for maintain contact databases within our CMS and in the coordination of events.

If you have a firm grasp of the English language, good attention to detail and experience managing social media accounts, then we’d really like to hear from you. Come and use your social media skills for good and help us share our stories of empowerment.

You’ll be based in our Cairns office with occasional opportunities to travel to Cape York communities, however travel is not an essential part of this role.

Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.

This role provides ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
