Company Overview:

We are looking for a Communications Specialist who will be at the forefront of shaping our brand identity and engaging our audience. VicLLENs is passionate about every young person, every school, everywhere in Victoria and we need a skilled Communications Specialist to help us amplify our message.

Position Overview:

We need an individual who can craft compelling content, manage our social media presence and website, and ensure consistent communication strategies, these are just some of the exciting tasks you'll tackle in a 0.4 EFT role.

Key Responsibilities:

In line with the VicLLENs Advocacy and Communications Group you:

  • Will develop and implement creative communication plans to support our objectives.
  • Be able to write captivating content for press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and more.
  • Manage all of our social media platforms, creating engaging content and fostering the VicLLEN community.
  • Manage our VicLLENs website, which shares programs and activities for all 31 LLENs in Victoria.
  • Work alongside the VicLLEN EO network as required around communication strategies.
  • Monitor and analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience (min of 3 years) in a communications role, preferably within community services sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools and analytics software.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for storytelling and engaging audiences.
