Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) is a non-government, not for profit organisation working to eliminate sexual violence against adults and children of all genders. CRCC provides free, professional and confidential counselling and support for victim survivors of sexual violence, and their families, who have experienced any form of sexual violence recently or in the past.
CRCC is seeking a qualified, experienced and values driven Executive Assistant to provide high level administrative and executive support. The Executive Assistant will support the efficient coordination of CRCC’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, board meetings and governance, and operational activities, helping to ensure smooth day to day administration, organisation and compliance.
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high level executive, administrative and operational support to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. The role requires discretion, sound judgement, strong organisational capability, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The Executive Assistant is responsible for managing priorities, coordinating meetings and correspondence, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the delivery of organised, professional, and timely administrative services. The role contributes to a well-run, trauma-informed, and values-aligned workplace that supports CRCC’s broader strategy.
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing executive level confidential support to the CEO and COO involving monitoring email inboxes, managing priorities and clearances, managing calendars, scheduling meetings and travel arrangements.
The Executive Assistant coordinates meetings from scheduling, room set up, greeting attendees, minute taking, action tracking and follow up. The Executive Assistant will prepare correspondence, reports, presentations and other organisational documents.
A key responsibility of the Executive Assistant is supporting monthly board meetings and board governance, including collating and coordinating board meeting papers, coordinating governance documentation, maintaining board member records in line with governance requirements, and assisting with the administration of board and other committees.
Operationally, the Executive Assistant monitors and orders office supplies and other consumables, identifies opportunities to improve administrative processes, and assists with compliance-related documentation and organisational records.
The position contributes to organisational coordination by assisting with the delivery of projects and initiatives, maintaining effective administrative systems, filing and records management processes and document management.
