Be part of a revitalised, member-led union and help build the systems that power it!
We are seeking an IT Project Officer (eMS Implementation) to join the CPSU SPSF Group Victorian Branch during an exciting period of renewal and re-energisation. This is a full-time, fixed-term position (6 months) at VPS Grade 4 equivalent.
As IT Project Officer, you will lead the practical implementation of the Branch's new membership database — migrating us from our current OMS platform to the cloud-based iMIS for Unions (eMS) solution delivered through the Union Innovation Hub. Working to the project plan and in close consultation with business areas across the Branch, and under the oversight of the National IT Coordinator for the SPSF Group, you'll deliver a system that strengthens the union's organising, industrial, and membership functions from the ground up.
Your work will include coordinating data migration and cleaning, configuring core membership and payment processes, and setting up integrations across the Branch's systems. You will run user acceptance testing, build templates and 'Member Journey' plans, deliver staff training, and coordinate a smooth launch — ensuring the new system is delivered on time, within scope, and adopted right across the Branch.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role within an activist, democratic union committed to empowering members and fighting tirelessly for their interests.
Note that if you are one of our members and currently working in the VPS, or at another employer for which we are the union, we are prepared to offer this position as an a secondment, which would enable you to keep your substantive position.
