About the role:

A Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is used to lay the foundations and prepare workplaces for future RAPs and reconciliation initiatives. A Reflect RAP is a public commitment and the development of our RAP is important first step in Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s journey to reconciliation.

This identified role is an exciting development opportunity within the organisation. It is critical to advance from intent to action in relation to reconciliation through strengthening our relationship with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by developing and embedding key activities that support this throughout our organisation.

This is a part time 12 month contract and the days/hours will be negotiable.

Requirements:

  • Please note that you must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to be eligible to apply for this role
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to successfully effect change to policies and procedures.
  • Manage interactions with other organisations to learn from and share developments in relation to the design and execution of the organisations Reconciliation Action Plan.
  • Collaborate with P&C specialists to design, develop and implement quality leading-edge people practices and initiatives across the organisation.
  • Actively engage and collaboratively work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and stakeholders and Reconciliation Australia to create an informative Reflect RAP.
  • Scope the size, complexity and cost of requirements to develop project and change management plans and project manages the execution of these
  • Develop the Reconciliation Action plan in detail and any associated activity and positioning for the organisation.
  • Identify and gain agreement to required resources, milestones and key deliverables to ensure projects are delivered within scope and agreed timelines.
  • Monitor project performance; identify and resolve issues in order to mitigate risks and ensure delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Prepare project reports and dashboards to update project sponsors and ensure key stakeholders remain informed of project performance.
  • Organise community and stakeholder events with the purpose of building further engagement with community.

Other requirements

  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement both internally and externally
  • Comfortable and respectful attitude in handling sensitive and serious matters
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, post-graduate qualifications are desirable
  • A strong understanding of the potential impact of the RAP activities
