We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Training Support and Administration Officer to support the delivery of education and training initiatives, including a significant statewide elder abuse capability-building project.

This is a rewarding opportunity to combine your training, administration and project coordination skills while contributing to meaningful change in the lives of older Victorians.

About the role

Reporting to the Education and Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering training programs while supporting project administration, reporting and evaluation activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of training projects and education programs.
  • Coordinating training logistics including registrations, scheduling, venue bookings and participant communications.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of learning resources and training materials.
  • Delivering professional development and community education sessions both online and face-to-face.
  • Managing and maintaining training records and program documentation.
  • Collecting, analysing and reporting on participant feedback and evaluation outcomes.
  • Supporting project reporting and continuous improvement activities.
  • Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of programs.

About you

You are an organised and confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively and making a positive impact through learning and education.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience delivering training, workshops or education programs both online and in person.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating projects, events or training activities.
  • Confidence facilitating groups and presenting information to diverse audiences.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience collecting and evaluating training or project outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An understanding of issues affecting older people and the services available to support them.

Desirable

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or similar qualification.
  • Experience in community education or professional development programs.
  • Knowledge of elder abuse, family violence and/or MARAM frameworks.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working with older people or within the community sector.

Additional Requirements

  • Current Victorian Driver Licence.
  • Satisfactory Police Check.
