The Opportunity:

Are you a finance professional looking to use your expertise for a greater purpose? Conservation SA, South Australia’s peak body for the environment, is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. This is a vital voluntary leadership role that ensures our financial integrity and strategic resilience as we advocate for nature and climate action. 

The Role: 

As Treasurer, you will provide high-level oversight of our financial management, governance, and internal controls. Your focus is on ensuring that our resources are managed effectively to grow the environmental movement in SA. You will be a key member of a high-performing board, working closely with the President, Chief Executive Officer and Finance and Risk Committee to safeguard the Association's future. 

What you bring:

  • Expertise: A strong background (and ideally qualifications) in accounting, financial management and preferably risk governance. 
  • Integrity: High standards of professional ethics and a commitment to transparent financial reporting. 
  • Strategic Mindset: The ability to translate financial data into strategic insights for the Board. 
  • Passion: A genuine commitment to protecting South Australia’s unique ecosystems.
