Are you a strong communicator passionate about leading a team to effectively engage supporters? Compassion Australia is looking for a part-time Communications Manager to lead a team of specialists in maintaining a consistent brand message across all external communication platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of specialists to develop communications across print, media and digital platforms.
• Ensure the integrity of Compassion's brand message is maintained across all channels.
• Research, develop messaging platforms, write and publish content for both print and digital campaigns.
• Assist in developing and managing mutually beneficial media relationships.
• Oversee proofing and quality control measures for communications through various channels.
• Build relationships with various internal stakeholders, including frontline teams in Australia and Compassion International staff, to effectively communicate Compassion’s program to supporters.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in communications or PR and possess exceptional research, analytical and written skills. You will be a gifted communications specialist who has a strong knowledge of online digital marketing, branding and social media. You will be strongly aligned to the Christian values of this organisation which is part of a broader Christian community, and be tertiary qualified in marketing, communications, PR or a similar discipline.

You will have the ability to lead a team of professionals well, engage effectively with key stakeholders and have a sound understanding of the Church landscape in Australia. Your knowledge of global poverty issues and international development will also be highly regarded.
