Communify Queensland is a dynamic community organisation supporting people across all walks of life to enhance wellbeing and stability. We deliver a broad range of programs including housing and homelessness services, mental health support, aged care, family and individual support, and community development.
Our Sustaining Tenancies Program helps people who are at risk of losing their housing to stay safely housed. Funded by Brisbane City Council and Queensland Health, the program works in partnership with BRIC Housing, Brisbane Housing Company, and the Department of Housing to provide practical, personalised, and trauma-informed support.
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Brief Intervention & Intake Worker to join our Sustaining Tenancies team. This full-time role (until 30 June 2027, with high potential for ongoing extension) focuses on early intervention and assessment, supporting individuals and families to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.
You will play a vital role as the first point of contact for clients, providing high-quality intake, assessment, and brief case management. Using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, you will connect people to the right services, advocate on their behalf, and help them build pathways toward housing stability.
You are an empathetic and organised professional with strong casework and assessment skills. You’re motivated by making a difference in people’s lives and have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
