The Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic Community Services Lead (Parenting and Families) to lead the design and delivery of programs related to parenting, children, individual and family support, and financial capability services. The role requires a passionate driven individual with a focus on innovation, service excellence and the development of new business, growth and partnership opportunities.

Reporting to the Director Youth and Community Service, the Community Services Lead (Parenting and Families) is accountable for providing highly effective and efficient management of human, physical and financial resources including the development of systems, process, and structures that maximise outcomes for our clients and for our organisation.

This role is located in Cannington and will be offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight.

Selection Criteria

The position requires:

  • A successful and proven track record in managing large teams across multiple areas and disciplines in complex human service delivery environments within a community services / not for profit related environment.
  • Proven ability to lead the design, development and delivery of quality, evidence-based programs related to, family support and counselling services.
  • Well-developed understanding of risk management and emergency response strategies, policies, procedures with experience in supporting staff in their implementations.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, negotiation and networking skills with an ability to think creatively and liaise effectively with a diverse range of targeted audiences.
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to analyse and evaluate information, identify issues, and develop or approve appropriate solutions.
  • An effective organiser with a structured planning/delivery focus and strong capability to manage multiple priorities, whilst taking accountability for all decisions and actions.
  • Proven ability to share innovative ideas to achieve organisational goals along with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Community or Human Services or a related field.
  • Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
  • Unrestricted drivers’ licence
  • Working With Children Check
