CoMHWA is the Peak Body for Mental Health consumers in Western Australia. We are a consumer-led organisation that offers a strong, assertive and independent voice for social change that reflects the needs and priorities of those living with mental health issues. We are grounded in Peer philosophies of self-advocacy, equity, mutual rapport, self-empowerment, and self-direction.
The Peer Placement Officer will meet with Certificate IV Mental Health Peer Work students and other training participants to discover their goals, experience, learning support needs and what makes a placement right for them. Working closely with the Peer Workforce Development Coordinator and the Learning Development Manager, the Peer Placement Officer will identify, develop and structure placement opportunities that meet the requirements of the student, the Registered Training Organisation (RTO), and the organisation.
This is a .8 FTE role (60 hours per fortnight) on a fixed term contract basis to June 2027. The position reports to the Learning Development Manager.
