About the Role:

• Work in a supportive team environment where achieving outcomes for young people is the main driver.
• Coach, mentor and support young people aged 15 – 24 years in southern Tasmania who are seeking education and employment opportunities.
• Work with our participants to identify their skills and talents and develop a job plan that complements these.
• Identify any challenges young people may face when seeking education, training or employment opportunities and help address these.
• Work closely with the Employment Engagement Officer to help support participants into identified training, work experience and employment opportunities.
• Work closely with other youth programs in the Youth Solutions Division at Colony 47.
• Part time, 30.4 hours per week; 2 days in Hobart and 2 days in New Norfolk.
• Successful applicants will be offered a fixed term employment contract until 30 June 2022.

Remuneration:

The salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant depending on experience and/or qualifications, however as a guide will be in line with the Labour Market Industry Award, Training and Placement Officer 2 C-E.
