About the role

This role is responsible for providing a broad range of dental services to young people, including extractions, endodontic procedures, and provision of simple orthodontics and prosthodontics, and providing dental health information and education to young people and their families.

As senior practitioner on site, the Dentist oversees maintenance of the dental clinic, contributes to development and supervision for the team, and supports process and quality improvements.

Your duties include:

  • Ensure the delivery of best practice, high quality and client-focussed dental services within a custodial environment
  • Provide comprehensive support in clinical decision making to the dental, nursing, and wider healthcare teams
  • Provide oral health promotion, education and screening to young people and their families

Our ideal candidate:

  • Experience with and awareness of issues that affect people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people from marginalised communities
