About the role

You provide high quality, efficient, effective and safe oral services to young people in a custodial environment, leveraging your knowledge of best practise and infection control standards to deliver professional, client-focussed, care.

In collaboration with the Dentist and Oral Health Therapist, you maintain the clinic, support the wider healthcare team, and provide oral health education and information to young people and their families.

Your duties include:

  • Provide efficient and supportive chair-side assistance
  • Clinic management including patient records, medical histories, appointment schedules and records, and maintenance of the clinical environment
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to deliver care, treatment, and health education

Our ideal candidate:

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting
  • Demonstrated experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people from marginalised communities 
  • Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission
