About the role

Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct is a youth custodial facility that accommodates young people. At Malmsbury, cohealth aims to deliver an efficient service within the custodial environment to young people.

The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) is an integral part of the primary health care team, demonstrating expert knowledge. The CSM is recognised as a clinical leader within the nursing team and forms part of the leadership group.

The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence-based nursing care to optimise health outcomes for young people. The role provides effective oversight of daily healthcare centre operations and uses clinical expertise to offer guidance, direction, and supervision.

Your duties include:

• Coordinate care planning and health service access across medical, allied health and mental health teams for young people in custody
• Ensures the well-being and safety of patients by upholding values and principles that underpin best practice in patient care, education, and patient rights
• Contributes to fostering a high-performing workforce that is trauma-informed, safety- and well-being-focused, outcome-oriented, collaborative, professional, and person-centred

Our ideal candidate

• Tertiary qualification in healthcare or related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
• Demonstrable skills and experience in clinical assessment and knowledge of referral process appropriate to clinical care coordination
• Strong commitment to the rights and healthcare standards for young people in custody
• Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission
