Coburg Children's Centre and Kindergarten is a community based, not for profit service offering quality programs and family support. Our Centre offers childcare, 3 and 4-year-old integrated kindergarten and sessional kindergarten, with approximately 110 children attending per day.
CCCI is located within the newly re-created Pentridge Precinct and features multiple outdoor, natural learning spaces as well as, well equipped and maintained indoor learning rooms and a dedicated kitchen.
We are also situated within walking distance to Sydney Road trams and Coburg and Batman train stations.
Our Early Childhood Service Cook is an essential and valued member of our team. This role requires an understanding of children’s health and wellbeing and how this is incorporated in an early learning service. The role is responsible for the delivery of the daily meals and snacks for approx. 110 children per day and the ordering, stock control and effective, safe and efficient kitchen operations. A kitchen hand provides support at critical times in the kitchen each day.
Our open plan kitchen gives the opportunity for children to observe the cooking process, requiring someone who is willing and able to engage with the children and their curiosity.
This is a part-time permanent position, 7am to 2.30 Monday to Friday.
