Coast Shelter is a leading Central Coast not for profit charity assisting families, adults and young people with complex issues arising from their experience of homelessness, abuse and neglect. Working within Coast Shelters Trauma Responsive Framework you will strive to enhance the lives of young people in our residential accommodation programs.
Working with the young people you will help create a home like environment and tailor your support to the individual needs of each young person. Supporting young people to attain their educational goals, undertake extracurricular activities in line with their interests and supporting their connection to community and family.
Success in the role will demand an understanding of the causes and impact of homelessness and an empathic approach to those in our community who may find themselves on the outer: homeless and disadvantaged.

Please note: Our residential youth shelters operate on a 24/7 roster model. Therefore, successful candidates will be required to work a range of shifts including weekends, nights, sleepovers, and public holidays.
If you are successful in gaining employment with Coast Shelter you must hold a NSW Driver's Licence, First Aid Certificate, National Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check.
