About the Role

As an NDIS Support Coordinator/Recovery Coach, you will play a pivotal role in helping participants navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and support their recovery journey. You will be the guiding force, providing comprehensive assistance and coaching to individuals with disabilities to empower them to achieve their recovery goals. This is a hands-on role where you will be actively engaged in building trusting relationships, coordinating support services, and fostering personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with participants to develop and review support plans based on their individual needs and recovery goals.
  • Assist participants in understanding and utilising their NDIS funding effectively for their recovery journey.
  • Provide personalised coaching and support to empower participants in their recovery process.
  • Coordinate and connect participants with relevant service providers, ensuring seamless integration of support services.
  • Advocate for participants' rights and needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participant progress and support services provided.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in NDIS and recovery practices, ensuring compliance and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working within the disability sector and a sound understanding of the NDIS.
  • Experience in recovery coaching or a related field, with a strong understanding of recovery principles and practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, ensuring efficient coordination of services.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities on their recovery journey.
  • Knowledge of community resources and an ability to navigate complex systems.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Successful applicants will be required to obtain a Australian Business Number (ABN) and relevant insurance(s).
