Clothing The Gaps is a Victorian Aboriginal social enterprise and B Corp. We are a fresh and dynamic apparel label founded by health professionals that celebrates Aboriginal people and culture.
At Clothing The Gaps, we are committed to using our brand and platform to campaign, educate and elevate Aboriginal peoples’ voices and causes. That means using both Ally-Friendly and Mob-Only merch to educate and start conversations about causes or issues affecting First Nations people. We produce merch with a message and encourage people to wear their values on their tee.
We’re known for our work in advocacy and education campaigns such as ‘Free(d) The Flag’, ‘Shades of Deadly,’ and ‘Waking Up Woi Wurrung’.
You’ll be joining a tight knit team of five in the creative team including, Brand and Marketing Manager, Product Design Coordinator, Videographer and Founders.
Our workflow is really collaborative so expect to dive into lots of ad-hoc discussions about upcoming campaigns, product launches, content creation, messaging strategy and more! So much of what we do comes out of conversations we have over a cuppa, we love being at work together!
Our office is above the retail and warehouse space on Sydney Road, so whilst the creative team is small, there’s a wider team get to know, along with the office dogs we all lovingly co-parent.

You’re Indigenous, or you have a solid understanding of and passion for causes and campaigns relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. You’re an ambitious designer with fashion experience looking to work in a values-led space. You’re also fluent in contemporary culture across design, arts and fashion.
You’re a social person, a great communicator, being able to comfortably present concepts and talk about the rationale behind your designs with ease. You’re also highly collaborative, adaptive and agile being able to work with multiple people on a project and take on feedback.
