The Role

The Senior Content Producer plays a key role in developing and delivering compelling creative content that drives engagement, fundraising, and advocacy for Climate 200 and the independent movement.

Working closely with the Head of Creative, this role translates strategic priorities and creative direction into high-impact content across digital platforms, campaigns, and communications. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on production, including writing, design, and video creation, ensuring all content aligns with Climate 200’s brand and creative direction.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development and Campaign Execution

  • Develop and deliver persuasive, multi-channel creative campaigns that drive engagement, fundraising, and advocacy outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality digital content including social media posts, graphics, videos, and campaign materials from concept through scripting, filming, editing, design, and delivery.
  • Write compelling copy for social media, digital campaigns, and supporter communications that translates complex issues into clear and engaging storytelling.

Social Media and Digital Content

  • Oversee Climate 200’s social media channels, planning and delivering timely and engaging content that responds to campaign priorities, media moments, and political developments.
  • Produce persuasive video storytelling concepts that bring the independent movement to life and encourage donor conversion.

Creative Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Head of Creative and internal teams to ensure content aligns with Climate 200’s creative direction, brand identity, and strategic messaging.
  • Contribute creative assets and ideas that support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and supporter growth.
  • Collaborate with campaign teams, partners, and community groups to develop campaign materials and provide creative guidance where required.

Creative Production and Coordination

  • Manage external content creators, freelancers, or agencies when needed to ensure high-quality and consistent creative output.
  • Curate a creative community of practice within the independents movement.

Performance and Optimisation

  • Monitor engagement and campaign performance to refine content strategy and improve creative effectiveness.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in content production, digital campaigns, or creative roles within advocacy, media, or political organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-impact, multi-channel creative campaigns.
  • Strong skills in video production and editing, including scripting, filming, and post-production.
  • Excellent copywriting skills for social media, digital campaigns, and video content.
  • Strong graphic design skills and experience producing digital assets.
  • Experience managing or creating content for social media platforms and digital campaigns.
  • Proficiency with creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software) and digital platforms.

Additionally, it is desirable (but not essential) for candidates to have experience pitching to have any of the following:

  • Experience working with grassroots movements, advocacy organisations, or political campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of climate change issues and passion for environmental and social advocacy.
  • Knowledge of data-driven creative decision-making and performance optimisation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with agility and resilience.
