The Social Media manager will design and execute a social media strategy that will protect and enhance the reputation of the CEC and its members. With a campaign mindset, this role will create effective collateral and campaigns that will shape debate and grab attention.
Reporting to the Director of Media, this position will help drive our organisation's advocacy and campaign capacity to promote the CEC’s role in driving Australia’s transition to renewable energy. As our organisation grows in line with Australia’s clean energy transition, the CEC’s media footprint, too, is evolving. The position will create and monitor campaigns and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement our various campaign and advocacy initiatives.
It will also measure and report effectiveness.
A key member of the media team, this role will work in a collaborative environment. When required, the social media manager will support the general media team activities. This role will also be supported by the wider media team.
You will have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience creating and executing social media initiatives across social media platforms.
Critical to your success will be your demonstrated in depth knowledge and understanding of social media trends and how they apply to corporate campaigns.
You will have very good knowledge of the political landscape. Naturally, you will be a creative thinker, with highly developed communication and interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. You will enjoy the challenge of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
