The Clean Energy Council is the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia. We represent and work with hundreds of leading businesses operating in solar, wind, energy efficiency, hydro, bioenergy, energy storage, geothermal and marine along with approximately 6,500 solar installers. We are committed to accelerating the transformation of Australia’s energy system to one that is smarter and cleaner.

Reporting to the EGM Shared Services, we are seeking a Senior Accountant who will play an integral, organisation-wide role.

Key objectives of the role are to:

• Ensure the effective financial management of the CEC’s resources
• Ensure financial compliance including audit, budgeting and forecasting
• Providing key reports and analysis to stakeholders, including the CEO and the Board
• Focus on system and process improvements
• Provide general financial advice to the broader CEC team

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A CPA or CA qualified with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience with managing an end-to-end finance function
• Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, analysis and interpretations
• Highly developed problem solving and decision-making skills
• Good organisational and time management skills
• An ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative
• Experience working in the NFP sector
• Experience working in a related industry
• Commerce or Business qualification
