We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior First Nations Community Development Officer to lead community development initiatives and contribute to Reconciliation Action Plan outcomes.
Reporting to the Service Manager Community Development, you will support the activation of culturally safe and accessible spaces and deliver culturally authentic programs that strengthen community connection and economic participation. You will also lead and mentor one direct report, coordinate programs and events, and facilitate culturally informed community engagement.
In this role, you will act as a key liaison with local Elders, First Nations organisations and community members, as well as internal stakeholders to support the City’s commitment to culturally respectful practice.
We’re seeking a committed and culturally knowledgeable First Nations community development professional with strong relationship-building skills and a passion for empowering local communities.
You will be someone who can provide guidance, cultural insight, and leadership to support meaningful outcomes for First Nations people in Cockburn.

Salary and Benefits: Salary range from Level 6 Step 1 – Step 4 ($104,647.66 - $112,705.08) on a pro-rata basis of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
