About the Role

Lead a team of equity and inclusion specialists to drive strategic, evidence informed initiatives that strengthen safety, belonging and equitable access across the City of Casey‑informed initiatives that strengthen safety, belonging and equitable access across the City of Casey

What You’ll deliver

• Provide strategic leadership to drive equity and inclusion strategies, action plans and frameworks across Council, ensuring clear priorities, alignment and measurable impact.
• Lead, mentor and empower a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high‑performing culture.
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, community groups, government agencies and sector partners to advance shared equity and inclusion outcomes.
• Use data, research and community insights to inform planning, identify priorities, monitor progress and support continuous improvement in equity and inclusion initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong leadership capability, with experience coaching, mentoring and empowering specialist advisors to deliver high‑impact outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion principles, best practice, legislation and emerging trends, with the ability to apply them in complex organisational settings.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations and build trust across diverse stakeholders.
• Proven experience designing and delivering policies, programs and capability‑building initiatives that advance equity, inclusion and community wellbeing.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work check.
