The opportunity:

Our People & Culture Department supports 155+ staff at every touch point of the employee journey from their job application to making the most of the opportunities available to them and developing their knowledge and skills to progress their career.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a supportive and friendly People and Culture team. It is a varied role that will see you responsible for initiatives across the entire Employee Lifecycle and giving you the opportunity to participate in a broad range of HR projects.

You will:

  • Implement our Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, including our Reconciliation Action Plan.
  • Advise Managers on matters regarding HR policies, practices, procedures and legislation, escalating matters where necessary.
  • Provide HR advice to staff and proactively make recommendations for improvements
  • Contribute to employee engagement programs and change initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement and retention projects such as rewards & recognition and remuneration & benefits programs.
  • Support the Director to ensure records are well maintained and reports are accurate
  • Support Talent Acquisition Specialist with recruitment activities and process improvements
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts, general employee letters
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assist the Senior HR Advisor in the implementation of our Learning and Development Strategy, including talent management and workshops.
  • Assist the Facilities and WHS Manager in Work Health and Safety programs.
  • Contribute to the roll-out of various Wellbeing initiatives.

About you

First and foremost you will be passionate about helping people. You are driven, curious, self-directed and keen to learn.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR services or generalist role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills, prioritisation and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (admin) and aptitude for technology more broadly
  • A tertiary qualification in HR is an advantage, but not essential.
