Challenge is currently seeking casual Disability Support Workers to work within our Disability Services Day Programs - Transition to Work, Respite and Day Options. We are looking for a person who has broad life experiences that would assist them to work positively with our participants to achieve their personal goals.
School Leaver Employment Support program assists young people with a disability to develop skills and independence to maximise employment goals and sustain ongoing workplace learning and development, as well as provide support for an independent lifestyle. Challenge offers the Transition to Work program over a number of different dynamics. This includes group activities and individual goal orientated programs.The programs are tailored to assist individuals achieve their goals with the primary objective being work focused skill development and associated training.
Respite provide flexible respite care services for people who have an intellectual/physical disability or mental health disorder. Challenge has established respite centres in the Hunter, North West, Western and New England regions of NSW.
Day Options activities are aimed at increasing participants independence, confidence and options. We also encourage the development of friendships and social skills both within our service and the wider community.
