About the role

Work alongside our female participants with differing support needs and provide them the assistance they need to live independently in Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation. We have several new female participants joining us so we are looking for teams of female Support Workers.

We understand that the role can be quite varied depending on the individual you support however, your day-to-day may include;

  • Assisting with domestic duties including shopping, meal preparation and other housework
  • Ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes
  • Assisting with activities of daily living
  • Personal care, including showering, dressing, manual handling
  • Community access out and about in the community

Please note that you can be rostered to work across various homes in south east Brisbane.

These roles are classified as a level 3 under the SCHADS Award (Home Care stream). Casual hourly rates from $32.73 per hour plus allowances and penalty rates. We are also offering full and part time positions if you prefer stability of hours.

About You

  • You are flexible and about to work sleepovers shifts and weekends as needed
  • You have a certificate III in Disability or an equivalent qualification completed or in progress
  • You have previous experience working with people with disabilities, preferably within an accommodation setting
  • You are committed to providing client focused services with positive outcomes
  • You are confident and able to build trust and rapport

  • A current Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening
  • A Working with Children blue card
  • A current police check conducted within 6 months
  • A valid Australian drivers licence with a reliable and comprehensively insured car
  • A current first aid certificate (within 3 years) and CPR (within 1 year)
