Safety, Health and Wellbeing Officer - Illawarra and Macarthur

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Safety, Health and Wellbeing Officer to join our team. This position will make a significant contribution to culture and all matters related to the safety, health and wellbeing of staff, volunteers, clients and stakeholders across all our work environments.

This position is full-time and is based across the Illawarra and Macarthur areas.

What you will need

  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety)
  • Experience in developing a culture of Safety, Health and Wellbeing across a diverse and complex organisation.
  • Experience in developing and evaluating effective WHS plans and strategies
  • Experience in building and improving the key elements of an effective WHS management system
  • Experience in WHS risk identification and assessments, and collaborating on risk management reviews and actions
  • Experience in advising and influencing managers and employees on building a safe, healthy and respectful work environment
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting on WHS performance, KPI's and trends to support continuous improvement
