The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Finance and Administration Officer to play a critical role in supporting CCWA’s operations. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role is responsible for end-to-end financial management and oversight, along with key administrative and compliance functions.

You will work closely with senior staff across operations, fundraising, and human resources, and liaise with external service providers including auditors, bookkeepers, banks, and insurers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage CCWA’s accounting system, banking, and online merchant facilities
  • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for management, Board, and Council
  • Oversee the annual audit and preparation of financial statements
  • Manage tax compliance including BAS, IAS, and related returns
  • Coordinate outsourced bookkeeping services, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Administer payroll in collaboration with HR, including STP, superannuation, and terminations
  • Manage assets, investments, insurance, and property administration
  • Support fundraising administration, donations processing, and grant acquittals
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, systems administration, and general administration
  • Assist with organisational compliance and statutory reporting

About You

You are a highly organised finance professional who enjoys working in a purpose-driven organisation and is comfortable balancing detail with broader operational priorities.

You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
  • Membership of, or progression toward, CPA, CA ANZ or IPA
  • At least 4 years’ experience in accounting, including payroll, budgeting, and taxation
  • Strong systems capability and confidence working across accounting, CRM, and reporting platforms
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and time management

Desirable:

  • Experience using MYOB
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector
