About the role:
The Research Support Administrator will provide proactive support to the research stakeholders as part of CCNSW’s research operations program. This role will be responsible for data entry, analysis and reporting. It will support the research grant administration and the Research Grants Lead. The role will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of research reviews, and future improvements in CCNSW’s grant management platform, processes and administration, as required for strategic research investments.
This is a 12-month contract offered on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be required to work two to three days per week.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Data Entry and Management
- Maintain and manage relevant databases to ensure clear records of research activities, outputs and stakeholders are captured across CCNSW’s research activities, and that robust data is readily available for reporting or strategic planning purposes.
- Assist in the production of high-quality research data reports by collecting, extracting, collating, summarising and interpreting data.
- Prepare and maintain currency of standard operating procedure documents for accountable tasks.
- Proactively identify opportunities for streamlining grant administrative processes and assist in the development of quality systems and procedures.
Research Grant Administration
- Supporting the grant administration process, including data entry, extraction, analysis and reporting.
Pre-award (Grant Round Management)
- Planning of the pre-award activities according to schedule.
- Support for currency of grant guidelines, application forms, and reporting templates.
- Support for promotion of grant rounds.
- Support the scientific grant review as required.
Post-award
- Planning of the post-award activities according to schedule.
- Support accurate grant application records on the organisation’s grant management database, electronic filing system and grants management system.
- Contribute to research impact data and information collection, collation and reporting.
- Contribute to effective internal and external communications about research funded and conducted by CCNSW.
Consumer, Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Support best practice in terms of consumer involvement of research and implement ‘consumer in research’ training initiatives as required.
- Work closely with the Research Strategy & Operations team.
- Support currency of information on CCNSW website relating to grant schemes.
- Adhere to all CCNSW internal policies and external legislations i.e. Privacy Act, PCI Compliance, Charitable Fundraising Act requirements, financial controls etc.
- Contribute to the documentation of internal policies and processes.
- Provide a safe workplace by promoting, implementing and complying with health and safety policies and procedures. (Employees are trained in the safe performance of their assigned tasks).
- Any other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the organisation.
About you
Essential:
- Proven ability to collect, enter, process and analyse data.
- Excellent team player, willing to pitch in and support the wider team when required.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in working independently and making informed decisions.
- Professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) and data reporting.
- Demonstrated experience dealing with information of a confidential nature.
Desirable:
- Experience working in the non-for-profit field.
- Project management skills.
- Experience in grants administration.
