Cancer Council NSW (CCNSW) is a community funded and focused not for profit. We are the largest cancer charity in NSW and our point of difference is that we work across every area of every cancer, from research right through to support.
At CCNSW we understand that nothing feels better than doing work you really care about. As Australia’s leading organisation supporting all people impacted by all cancers, we understand how good it feels to make a difference. We know that almost 1 in 2 Australians are affected by cancer during their lifetime, by joining the passionate team at CCNSW you’ll know that each day the work you’re doing will positively impact people in your life and Australia.
Reporting to the Community Fundraising Unit Manager, this position sits within the Community Fundraising unit of the Marketing & Fundraising Division (M&F) at Cancer Council NSW. The Community Fundraising unit works at a local level to form sustainable relationships and deliver NFP sector leading fundraising events/campaigns to ensure growth and sustainability of our fundraising portfolio.
This role will manage a team of community fundraising staff based across four Cancer Council offices in NSW, to support the development of, and operationalise the community fundraising strategy, lead the team to deliver events and campaigns, and manage key stakeholders to achieve community fundraising budgets.
The role will also lead the team to achieve additional success measures such as supporter engagement, retention and acquisition KPIs to build and maintain sustainability for the organisation.
Please note this is a 12 month parental leave cover role – ending September 2027. Given the Community Fundraising Coastal Team is located across our CCNSW offices in Erina, Kotara, Port Macquarie and Byron Bay, we are flexible as to which of these locations the Community Fundraising Lead role is based in, noting that travel to all of these offices and communities throughout the year will be required.
