THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to improve the integrity of and reduce the incidence of serious misconduct and corruption in the Western Australian Public Sector.

The Corporate Services Directorate ensures the delivery of high-quality corporate support services to the Commission. This includes the effective and efficient delivery of human resources, financial services, information technology and records management services, occupational safety and health compliance, and security and facilities services.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of a small IT team, the IT Business and Technical Consultant is responsible for actively liaising with customers to ensure that their technology requirements are met and to provide technical management and support in the delivery of IT systems, networks and corporate applications.

  • Provides advice and direction to stakeholders on the requirements relating to applicable IT Contracts and/or Procurements, ensuring compliance with government processes and policies.
  • Analyse and monitor the service delivery by contracted service providers, as well as build customer relationships and liaise with business stakeholders to ensure that projects and deliverables are consistent and align with the strategic direction of the Commission.
  • Effectively and efficiently engages with team members, customers, vendors and service providers to implement technology solutions, provide application support, offer technical advice, respond to service requests, and work towards the timely resolution of incidents.
  • Manage and contribute in the administration of computing infrastructure including virtualised servers, LAN/WAN, security appliances, A/V and telecommunication equipment and client devices to ensure a reliable and stable computing environment.

The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.
