Better Health Network (BHN) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Therapeutic Counsellor to join our Gamblers Help Southern team on a short-term contract.

This rewarding role supports individuals, families, and affected others experiencing gambling-related harm through evidence-based counselling, assessment, and case management. You'll work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team committed to reducing the impact of gambling harm across our community.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Provide therapeutic counselling to individuals, couples, and families affected by gambling harm
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
• Support clients to achieve and maintain positive behavioural change
• Participate in intake, case management, and referral processes
• Contribute to a collaborative, client-centred service that delivers real outcomes

About You

You will bring:

• A relevant counselling qualification
• Registration with AASW, ACA, PACFA, or AHPRA
• Experience supporting people experiencing addiction, mental health, or complex psychosocial challenges
• Strong clinical, communication, and case management skills
• A commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed practice
