About the role

Based across our Southern Catchment locations, you will work closely with children, families and the multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, intervention and support for preschool and primary school aged children. Using a family-centred and strengths-based approach, you will help children build meaningful skills and improve participation across their home, school and community environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality paediatric occupational therapy services to children and families
• Conduct standardised and observational assessments to develop therapy plans tailored to individual goals
• Support children across areas including motor skills, play, self-regulation and executive functioning
• Work collaboratively with families to identify priorities and functional outcomes
• Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions and health promotion activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinicians and community stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for children
• Contribute to service innovation, quality improvement and best practice initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and client records including TRAKCare
• Support and mentor students and graduates within the service

About you

You are a passionate and adaptable Occupational Therapist who values collaboration, evidence-based practice and empowering families.

You will bring

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or recognised equivalent qualification
• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience or knowledge in paediatric occupational therapy, community health or allied health services
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to family-centred and strengths-based practice
• Working with Children Check and current Victorian Driver Licence
• Experience working within the NDIS funding model is desirable
