Reporting to the National Manager, Strategic Fundraising, the Relationship Coordinator is responsible for high-level client care working closely with their direct marketing and supporter services fundraising team to contribute to the teams’ annual targets.

Initially offered as a 12-month contract with opportunity to extend based on performance, the Relationships Coordinator will play a key role in fostering authentic, long-term relationships with some of Lifeline’s most valued supporters, including individuals who choose to leave a gift in their Will, as well as mid and high value appeal donors.

About You

Whether you have a supporter care, philanthropy or direct marketing background, you will be a friendly, positive professional who understands the role that stewarding Gifts in Wills and mid to high value supporters plays in growing a fundraising program.

In addition, you will have experience in delivering verbal and written communication to a high standard, show initiative, and be proactive in developing and implementing processes to support your work.

  • Proven experience in providing essential stewardship, communication and high-touch fundraising tactics for both gifts in wills supporters (including confirmed, intenders and enquirers) and to mid and high value appeal donors
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or a few years’ experience in fundraising and/or supporter care
  • Demonstrated experience in customer or supporter relationship management
  • Demonstrated experience developing and coordinating donor related activities including communications
  • Project management skills, including organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, including the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Proven team player with ability to contribute towards team and organisational goals
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills (verbal, written, phone and in person) and demonstrated ability to build relationships with various individuals and organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work systematically and effectively, managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Superior attention to detail, especially with respect to written communications and data entry.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to use initiative and solve problems logically.
  • High level of maturity, incorporating resilience, compassion and empathy.
