Health and Well Being (Injury Management) Coordinator

About the role

The role will be responsible for developing and promoting a range of wellbeing advice and initiatives to minimise risk of injury, early intervention by delivering outcomes across a broad range of case management functions, liaising with stakeholders, administration of workers compensation and non-work-related injury management cases.

Duties

  • Deliver injury management activities within CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay to ensure the safe and effective return to work for staff;
  • Establish key wellbeing initiatives that are in alignment with business needs and promote self-care strategies;
  • Partner with managers and staff to support CatholicCare’s Vicarious Trauma management program via coordination of Vicarious Trauma education and awareness;
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained for self and others and all hazards and incidents are reported within appropriate time frames;

Requirements

  • Tertiary Work Health and Safety qualifications (eg: Occupational Therapy, Social Psychology) desirable
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Workplace Health and Safety and Return to Work Coordination
  • WorkCover WHS Consultation Certificate or willing to undertake
  • Knowledge of WHS Legislation and WorkCover Regulations
  • Proven ability to develop policy and procedures
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs
  • Case management skills for managing RTW plans
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Access to an insured vehicle
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Working With Children Check
