About the Opportunity

The Employment Services Coordinator will be responsible for end to end servicing of DES participants at Lake Haven and will report to and be supported by the Gosford Branch Manager. Key Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Develop or assist with developing plans that include provision of employment, training, pre vocational and referral interventions
  • Maintain a significant knowledge of a variety of complex individual needs and ensure services and support are provided to each participant to address barriers to their employment
  • Ensure team members have an appropriate level of knowledge of the service quality requirements of the organisation
  • Target barriers to employment and improve placement outcomes
  • Use networks to present market and promote Castle DES services effectively with employers and other stakeholders
  • Promote and ensure compliance with employment services contract requirements

Ideally, to be successful you will need

  • Degree/Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience of over 5 years
  • Demonstrated experience between 3 to 5 years in case managing and/or account managing and/or employment support services
  • Demonstrated ability to support job seeker participants to explore and resolve a variety of their complex needs, expectations and goals
  • Demonstrated significant knowledge of supports and services available internally and externally and model a flexible and creative approach
  • Demonstrated ability to coach less experienced team members in adherence to legislation, contracts, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to use in Microsoft Office and business systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use JRL and/or ESS would be highly desirable
  • Demonstrated personal integrity, professionalism and empathy towards people living with disabilities

Essential Criteria

  • NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as per NSW health orders
