Our School

  • Be part of a small Special Assistance School providing expert, coordinated support to secondary school aged young people. Many of our students have experienced trauma or are faced with challenges that make it difficult for them to thrive in a mainstream school. You will play a vital and rewarding role in ensuring these students receive a genuine opportunity at a quality education.

About the role

The role of Deputy Principal provides high-level assistance to the Principal. You will be responsible for planned teaching and learning, ensuring the scope and depth of learning experiences are suitable to the needs of the students.

Specific duties will include:

  • Planning and monitoring the Academic progress of students
  • Assisting teachers to develop appropriate curriculum plans, documenting and overseeing their implementation
  • Organising, leading, and maintaining quality curriculum

With just over 100 students, our school is large enough to provide you with professional growth while retaining a genuine connection with students.

What do I need for the role?

  • Knowledge of current curriculum trends and requirements of QCAA and ACARA processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff to ensure quality service.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, analytical thinking, effective time management and leadership.
  • Experience and expertise in monitoring and communicating student academic progress.
  • Guidance officer, pastoral care, or learning support experience preferred.
