The Role

High Risk Offenders Alcohol and Drug Service (HiROADS) is a statewide specialist forensic alcohol and other drugs (AOD) service designed to address the treatment needs of offenders with complexities that may increase the risk of recidivism.

We have a unique, up-coming opportunity for a Senior Psychologist/Social Worker to join our team at HiROADS. This role will be based in Abbotsford with some travel required to support the state-wide service. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a highly specialised skill-set in a diverse clinical area and working with a team of skilled clinicians and a cohesive and supportive team culture.

No two days will be the same in this position as the work is varied and highly rewarding. There is a significant opportunity to work from a dual-diagnosis approach with complex forensic clients on an individual basis tailoring their treatment using a variety of treatment approaches.

There is an opportunity to work in partnership with the Victorian Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (VFTAC) involving liaison with VicPol, Monash and Melbourne Health and Area Mental Health Services (AMHS).

About You

The role requires a highly skilled clinician with capacity to work in a complex forensic setting and has strong motivation to provide clinical support to a diverse team of skilled clinicians that value a cohesive, supportive team culture.

It would be ideal if you had experience:

• Leading and coordinating team
• Some exposure to working with sex offenders (preferable, not essential)
• Experience providing clinical supervision and support to other clinicians (AHPRA Board-approved registered supervisor or eligible preferred)
• Ability to support the clinical staff and care and recovery coordinator
• Strong aptitude to complete monthly performance reporting (KPI/Financial performance)
