Join Canteen and help young people impacted by cancer in a caring and compassionate team culture.
Cancer doesn’t discriminate and neither do we. Canteen welcomes people with diverse sexualities, gender identities and intersex variations and from all cultures, backgrounds and abilities. We believe that diversity in all its forms is a strength and are committed to working towards being an organisation that is inclusive of all individuals, so we can create a more vibrant and innovative culture. Canteen acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as sovereign custodians of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Canteen is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and people of all ages.
We are now seeking a Team Leader - Clinical Services - WA, who will play a pivotal role in providing practice leadership, mentoring, and advanced clinical guidance across Canteen’s Services team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact within youth psychosocial support and program delivery, and to be part of an organisation that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
This Team Leader role provides day-to-day direction, practice leadership, mentoring, advanced clinical guidance, and coordinated support across the Canteen Services team, contributing to the effective delivery of high-quality psychosocial support and programs for young people and families impacted by cancer. This includes practice leadership for counselling services, therapeutic case management, digital and in-person support programs, and recreation and overnight programs.
The Team Leader will work closely with the State Manager and internal and external stakeholders to support the development of a strong, cohesive team across multiple states, fostering collaboration and best practices across service delivery areas. They will be responsive to changing needs and in conjunction with the State Manager and Senior Practice Lead, help ensure our services are responsive, evidence based and aligned with Canteen’s Psychosocial Model of Care.
The role operates within a matrix structure where the Team Leader provides day-to-day guidance, mentoring and professional direction, while state planning, priorities, and formal accountability rests with the State Manager.
They will show advanced clinical service competency and hold a small clinical caseload while fulfilling leadership and program responsibilities. Travel may be required between states to support teams and engage with stakeholders.
We connect, we empower, we challenge, and we are real. These values ground the way we work at Canteen, and underpin a culture that brings people together in an inspiring and positive way. Find out more on our LinkedIn Life Page.
