Within the Behavioural Science Division, the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer’s (CBRC) mission is to conduct high quality applied behavioural research to inform and influence cancer prevention policies, programs and services, in order to reduce the impact of cancer on the Victorian community. CBRC also leads the research and evaluation activities of the Quit Program. The goal of the Quit Program is to reduce the health, financial and social inequities caused by smoking and vaping, in Victoria.

About your opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Evaluation Coordinator, Quit to join CBRC.

Reporting to the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager, Quit your role is to:

  • Design evaluations for the Quit Victoria Program, with a focus on community and place-based projects funded under this initiative.
  • Lead the implementation of evaluation and monitoring initiatives in accordance with agreed frameworks and plans.
  • Establish relationships with internal and external program stakeholders and work together to monitor project processes, learning and outcomes.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • A tertiary degree in psychology, community development, public health, evaluation, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in program evaluation including design, quantitative and qualitative data collection, data analysis, reporting and dissemination.
  • Demonstrated experience in action research, including the ability to draw conclusions from qualitative and quantitative data to support ongoing program development and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Effective relationship management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
