About your environment

Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs. The Fundraising and Communication Division (FCD) is responsible for ensuring that Cancer Council maintains a visible, engaging presence in the community; and to inspire and activate support from the Victorian public.

The Community Events Team within the Fundraising and Communication Division is primarily responsible for developing and supporting local community fundraising programs, which provide essential resources for CCV’s important work.

About your opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Coordinator to deliver Cancer Council Victoria’s new Walking Stars event. Reporting to the Community Events Manager, you will:

  • Coordinate equipment procurement, delivery, supply, installation and infrastructure requirements, managing quotations and estimates in line with budgets.
  • Work collaboratively with key external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal, insurance, health & safety and permit requirements.
  • Recruit, coordinate and motivate a team of volunteers in the lead up and on the night of the event.

Utilise your solution oriented approach to event logistics to deliver this pioneer fundraising event for the iconic Cancer Council brand.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience coordinating large scale or logistically complex events.
  • Ability to solve problems in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, negotiating positive outcomes to ensure on time delivery of all event components.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills and proficiency in the use of database and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Certification in OH&S or extensive experience in similar will be highly regarded.

What we can offer you

This full-time fixed term position for 4 months provides a salary within range $56,400 to $62,420 pa plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card. We also offer a flexible and friendly work environment, social and wellbeing activities and a location close to public transport.
