Calling all Training professionals!

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Skills Trainer & Assessor, to be based in NSW. The location is flexible as this role will need to travel from Redfern through to Eden to conduct face to face training, do live webinars via Microsoft Teams and may require occasional interstate travel as required and following COVID safety policies.

The role

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Skills Trainer and Assessor will develop training content and deliver induction and other employment services specific training, either face-to-face or via video webinars.   

This role will see you:

  • Develop and leverage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain the induction and training calendars 
  • Engage with employees and managers to maximise enrolments & attendance
  • Effective induction of new employees - completion, satisfaction, performance rating
  • Content development
  • Obtain feedback for every training session
  • Review new methods of learning and implement continuous improvement

You will also ensure that the training and competency framework is maintained to drive a culture of high performance and customer centricity.  

To be awesome at this role, you will have: 

  • A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or working towards) 
  • Experience in content development
  • Experience in training delivery – both face to face and live webinars
  • Relationship building expertise, including the ability to win and maintain trust
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Coaching skills

Ideally you have a good understanding of employment services, including Job Active and Disability Employment Services. If you have a “hands on” approach, are flexible and able to work autonomously, then we would love to hear from you!
