The Ballarat Children’s Contact Service (BCCS) provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to maintain contact with a parent (or significant other – e.g. grandparent) who is no longer living with them.
The Post Separation Co-operative Parenting Program (PSCPP) is an educational group program that aims to assists separated parents where conflict in the parental relationship interferes with the task of parenting in a child-focussed way.
In this important role, you will work with families across both programs, providing support to separated families to assist them with children’s contact and/or parenting programs.
You are an enthusiastic and committed individual with demonstrated family support skills and experience in working collaboratively to achieve outcomes. Your highly developed cultural awareness and sensitivity, partnered with excellent communication skills, will enable you to quickly build strong relationships with families and key stakeholders.
You are not afraid of a challenge and constantly seek to grow and develop. You are also confident to facilitate groups.
As a level 5 Practitioner you will provide support to level 4 Practitioners, lead the co-facilitation of groups and take a lead role in reflective case reviews and presentation of case studies. You will also support the program in allocation and demand meetings.
