Are you seeking a role with a values-driven for purpose organisation where you can support young people in our community? Are you an experienced Youth Residential Manager looking for a new role? Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their goals?
This full-time role of House Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of a 24/7 housing service for young people aged 16 – 18 years, providing planned support for young people during business hours Monday to Friday and coordinating a team of shift workers to provide overnight and weekend support to residents.

You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Work or comparable qualification OR substantial demonstrated experience in a related field.
  • Experience in developing, monitoring and supporting young people within a planned support framework and residential service model.
  • Experience in coordinating rosters and providing line management supervision to team members.
  • Experience working autonomously, exercising initiative, judgement and decision making within the residential housing program guidelines.
  • Strong skills in monitoring outcomes, reporting on KPIs, and ensuring service delivery aligns with program goals and quality standards.
  • Sound critical thinking, problem solving and risk management skills and the demonstrated application of these in a frontline delivery setting.

Given the work that we do there will be few non-negotiables. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:

  • A Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
  • A National Coordinated Criminal History Check [Police Check].
  • Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases - Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella [Chicken Pox]; and Pertussis [Whooping Cough].
