Burrun Dalai Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit Aboriginal community-controlled organisation providing support to Aboriginal children and young people, their birth families, foster families, and communities.
Burrun Dalai is led and governed by an all-Aboriginal Board of Directors to provide the following objectives for our children through a variety of Programs.

Burrun Dalai provide a safe, supported environment where Aboriginal children and young people can grow strong in culture, family and belonging.
Providing out-of-home care as a last resort and only when such care is in the best interest of the child or young person.
To support the birth family or foster family to provide the best possible care to meet the unique needs of each individual child or young person.
To meet the child or young person's physical, social, emotional, educational, and cultural needs whilst within a program.
To work towards keeping children and young people in their families and communities on country.
To limit foster care to the shortest time possible so as not to jeopardise family relationships.
To reduce the number of Aboriginal families being known to or entering the child protection system.
To empower Aboriginal families and communities by ensuring self-determination regarding their children.
Burrun Dalai operates offices out of three (3) Locations at Kempsey, Taree, and Tamworth.
We are seeking passionate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants for the role of Youth Worker within our Residential Care team. This role is vital in providing day-to-day care and support for children and young people in our Out-of-Home Care programs. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and culturally connected environment while supporting independence and skill development.
