Burnie Works is a place-based catalyst for long-term, positive change in the Burnie community. We work across education, families and employment, tackling complex challenges through collaboration, systems thinking and community-led action.
We’re looking for a proactive Finance & Reporting Officer to lead our financial reporting and budgeting in Xero, turning data into clear, actionable insights for programs, funders, and leadership. You’ll design and maintain reporting frameworks, support program planning and forecasting, ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting, and help drive continuous improvement across our finance systems.
This role is for someone who thrives in driving positive change within the community. You can take direction and maintain focus even when not every detail is defined, adapt as circumstances shift, and support others in navigating evolving systems and emerging information. You’re collaborative, values-driven, and motivated by making a real difference, bringing focus, professionalism, and initiative to everything you do.
Key Skills: Xero & Excel proficiency, financial reporting & analysis, budgeting, grant compliance, and the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and team spirit are essential.
Join us to ensure Burnie Works’ initiatives are backed by strong, transparent financial stewardship while making a real difference in the community.
