The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Officer to join the Pathway to Clean Indoor Air in Victoria project at Burnet Institute!

In this role, you will provide project coordination and administrative support to facilitate the effective delivery of project activities.

You will also:

• Coordinate project and governance meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes and maintaining action registers.
• Support project planning, documentation, risk and issue management, reporting and stakeholder liaison.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Deputy Project Director and other project staff.
• Assist with financial administration, including processing invoices and purchase orders, budget tracking and reconciliation.
• Support project communications, travel coordination and site decommissioning activities as required.

This is a full-time, 5 month fixed-term position. The role offers flexible working arrangements and the option to work from home.

The following criteria are essential requirements:

• Experience supporting multi-stakeholder projects, with demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
• Ability to liaise confidently and professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

The following are desirable but not essential:

• Basic financial management skills, including experience assisting with budget tracking and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with risk and issue management processes in a project environment.
• An interest in or knowledge of public health, environmental projects or government initiatives.
• An understanding of indoor air quality issues.
